Each sound consists of a series of sixteen frequencies harmonics which extend from the
low register (its fundamental) to the acute extreme. To emit harmonics, it is
thus to release from a sound, at a given moment, a particular frequency which
constitutes it.
With the ear, these harmonics
appear as sounds flutes which seem to turn above you. There are two principal
techniques of harmonic chant:
- Modification of the cavity
oral
- Technique known as “of both
cavities”

The monks Tibetans sing while
placing the lips very in front of such manner that they draw an O.
Mongolian has a perfect command
of their various resonators by exploiting the various styles of song of Xöömi
throat (nasal, pharyngé, thoracic, abdominal, narrative with a very serious
bumblebee, dental) One thus counts variations of style according to the
geographical place, natural elements, magic rites and scenes of the family life
bringing back for us to the chamanic origins of this song.

The touvas use the point of the
language against the vault of the palate - or by inclining it on a side and the
other - to emit melodies of harmonics imitating the song of the cicada or the
black crane, or the rate/rhythm of the horse. Their songs are spectacular by
their bumblebee in the extreme low register (Kargyraa) or by the creation of
three simultaneous sounds (Borbannadyr).

- I have the
mouth full with vowels,
known as the ingenuous one. I can sing better only Rimbaud the colors of the
rainbow, but per moment, the harmonic lights my being.
